EHS Supervisor – Tulsa, OK
Plans, manages and directs an Environmental Policy staff to address developing state and federal environmental legislation and regulation. Coordinates with company teams and departments to develop and communicate the company’s position on environmental matters.
- Directs a team to establish company policy consensus in response to federal/state environmental legislative and regulatory developments.
- Supervises staff to engage subject matter experts within and outside the company to establish a company position and to determine business impacts.
- Coordinates with Public Affairs to develop position/policy and related documents for acceptance by upper management.
- Ensures the company’s comments on environmental rulemaking are developed and that deadlines are met.
- Interfaces with Division EHS, Division regulatory teams, Legal, Government and Public Affairs to ensure consistent company messaging.
- Represents the company’s position in industry workgroup meetings and communicate our position to the business.
- Work directly with environmental policymakers to inform and educate them about issues affecting the oil and gas industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 10 years legislative/regulatory/government affairs industry experience – 5 years of which were gained from working in the oil and gas industry.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to translate environmental regulatory language into understandable requirements
- Ability to travel on short notice (up to 25%)
